Book Review: The Long and the Short of it by John Kay

I really enjoyed this book – it is a well written and comprehensive Investment Guide.  I especially appreciated the in-depth way the Author covers two important trading strategies available to investors:  Trend and Mean Reversion.

• The first strategy seeks to exploit momentum, buy into market rises, sell ahead of market falls.
• The alternative approach focuses attention on fundamental value and anticipates that, in the long run, fundamentals will assert themselves thru mean reversion.

Anyone who reads my blog will know what trading camp I fall into.  I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for an up to date, easy to read Investment Guide.
