Options Trade – Vanguard Real Estate ETF (VNQ)

I wanted to roll my Vanguard Real Estate ETF (VNQ) covered call on Friday, but it would have cost too much, so I let it expire, and initiated a new trade today.

Here is the trade:

08/19/2024 – Sold ten (10) Calls expiring on 09/27/24 with a new strike price of $95.00. Premium Collected: $500.00

Note: this is being done in one of my Roth IRA’s, so there are no tax consequences. I pushed the price and date out because I want to keep this holding and collect the Sept 2024 dividend.

So, not really a roll – but I am happy the way it played out.
